I have an Ephram Owen Rushing b 9 Oct 1839 in Calloway Co., KY (not far from Wadesborough) to Milton M. Rushing and Eliza Veal. Eliza was the daughter of John and Catherine Veal. I have always wondered where E. O. Rushing got his name. Did he get it from the minister or was Catherine an Owen? Can anyone offer any insight into this puzzle? Thanks David L.
