Richard Woodward (of Calloway Co., Ky) is most like the one "thought" to be Lucinda's father in the book that you cite. For those who have studied the Woodward's in that county for a long while, it would appear that James would be the likely candidate. It is suspected by many of us researching that area that James from Calloway Co, Ky and Richard Woodward, just across the river in Robertson Co., Tn were brothers out of Wake Co., Tn. I just recently recieved the will of Richard Woodward from the Tennessee Archives, and he lists his DAUGHTER Lucinda among many other children. Several of Richard's children lived in Calloway Co, Ky, and that is why I suspect that the author of the book did what many of us did, and confused some of Richard's children as being James'.
