Richard Owen of Merioneth, Wales came to America about 1683 as a Welsh Quaker according to popular theory. Richard Americanized the Owen name to Owings - this is the first I have heard of an Owings on back in England. Of course, any Owings might have returned. Can you give me any more information? David
