I will go there someday for sure! The history of the Owings/Owens family is very interesting. I've stayed up all night at least twice this past week reading alot of it. Yes, Ive read Thomas Deye Owings biography. Just found the other you mentioned a few hours ago and plan to read in a few minutes. I have a few fun questions for you. lol I've read people being confused about Richards wifes name. I've read a Rachel Robert. I've heard mentioned a Beall wife as well. (Only from other comments on here) Was he widowed or was Rachel the only? There also seems to be a mystery about Asenath. I'm still trying to figure out the lines down. I get Richards side fair enough but I need to study up on mine going back further. Do you agree family was from Wales and before then Scotland? Years ago one of my uncles showed me the Owens side going back a very long time. I have copies but at my mother! s. So in just using memory I remembered being told about Owings Mills and family there. I recalled Owings of my direct line being in Bath Co. Ky. One having been in the war of 1812 and many etcs! I was also told there was a falling out of sorts concerning a will. Which I found this morning when skimming over the other bio. that I have yet to finish. I'm addicted! Thanks for replying David. ~Laurel Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
