Author: JTStokes Surnames: Owings, Owing, Owens, Owen, Johnson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.owings/428.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi: When you replied to one of my other posts on one of the other message boards, I didn't realize that you were David Owings. It seems that the Johnson family and the Owing families intermarried several times. I guess my question is this: Are you aware of an actual marriage record for Elias Owings and Sarah Johnson? Does the book "Owings and allied families, 1685-1985" actually contain a marriage record for the claim that Elias Owings married Sarah Johnson? I am just trying to confirm what I already suspect. The reason that I am interested is because I am trying to determine what happened to all of the children of Hugh and Mary Johnson of Sullivan County, Indiana. I am a descedant of Hugh and Mary Johnson through their son Calvin Johnson. Thanks for all of your help. Best Wishes, Jay T Stokes Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
