I am a little late on this thread (been out of town) but will still put in my 2 cents worth. As Dan has already said, read the help files ,,,, good advice. So just a little additional input. To use the Flag, it should be added to your "Columns" list ,,, View / Columns ... put a check mark in the selection box for those you want to use ,,, position all columns where you want them by using the "Up" or "Down" buttons. Any Column you have no intention of using should be un-checked to reduce clutter and make room for those you do want to use. Column arrangement will not be the same on all computers ,,, depends on how each person has them set up. There is only one Flag, there are other symbols but only one Flag ,,, it does absolutely nothing, it is used to (( Mark )) msg.'s for whatever reason you wish ,,,, it looks like a little red pendant on the top of a pole. To use it you need to understand the Columns,,, Each Column you have in use is separated from the other Columns with a vertical "Separator" line ,, the area directly under the Column name & between the separator line on either side of the column name is reserved for use by that column ,, the column separator lines do not extend all the way down the msg. pane so you have to mentally extend these lines on down the page. NOW ,, to turn On a flag for a msg. ,, position your cursor directly under the Flag column name (stay between the two imaginary lines) and directly opposite the msg. to be Flagged and left click ,,, the little red flag should appear ,,,,,, to remove it, simply left click on it again. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion.
