    3. Kathy ,,, please excuse me here, but not being at all familiar with Wordpad I don't exactly understand your situation. I have checked my version of Wordpad and can see provisions for Sending email from there but none for receiving them directly to Wordpad (bypassing OE) or handling them once they arrive there. OE uses the extension .eml for all messages saved to disk and all attachments saved to disk will retain their original extension. All I can do in an attempt to help is make a wild assumption that you may have first received the email in OE, then moved it to Wordpad, and now wish to get it back into OE. If this is the case, then the original message may still be stored on your disk as a .eml file, if it is, then double click on it and OE will reopen it. ,,,, If it is the attachment you are having trouble with and not the body of the message, then you better proceed with extreme caution and not open it unless you 100% trust where it came from and was expecting it to arrive, and not even then until it has been scanned with an up to date virus scanner. As far as opening it, it depends on the format it is in, and the only way to tell is to look at the extension. I will not elaborate on this, there are too many of them, but I will say that if the extension is .VBS or any variation of VBS, then BEWARE, that is the current virus making the rounds. There is also a virus making the rounds that can infect you that is NOT contained in an attachment, it arrives in your mail box as a HTML message, just looking at it and you are infected, any good UPDATED AV program should detect and stop it, or in OE, it can be stopped without an AV program if you go into IE and change your security setting from Medium to High ,,, click APPLY, then go back and look at it. Better get off my soap box, this is not what you ask for. Perhaps someone more familiar with Wordpad can offer more help.
