I am a new lister on the OE list and I'm looking for an answer which I haven't been able to get on several other lists. I need simple instructions on how to backup OE folders and files using Microsoft Backup. Sorry to say that solutions using other hardware and processes such as Zip are not financially possible. I used to backup OE version 4 with MC Backup and it worked fine, several diskettes of course but it worked and the only time I had to restore (reformat C drive and reinstall everything) it worked fine. This is not so with Version 5. I have created a Backup job which I run and from which I get a report showing very few folders/files have been backed up and, most worrying, the number of bytes backed up appears to stay the same whenever I run Backup. I can document all the details of this but If someone can quickly catch on to whet I am doing wrong then it will save a lot of typing. Hope to hear from someone as I'm sure that lots of listers are happily and easily doing this on a regular basis. Norman Backhouse [email protected]
