I used the Microsoft Windows ME newsgroup for a while. Then I unsubscribed. Now when I attempt to subscribe again, I get an unidentified error message: Configuration: Protocol: NNTP Port 0 Secure (SSL):0 Code 8004005 I had Zone Alarm when I used the list before, and it was ok. I have mostly my original default settings on OE 5.5. I decided to try an AT&T newsgroup, but also got the error message as well. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Dell, 128 mbs Ram, 800 Mhz Pentium III, OS Windows ME, IE 5.5. Sydney Cardner

I do not know how you are attempting to sub to the Win ME group, but it should be sub.'ed to through the official MS forums at --> msnews.microsoft.com . If you haven't already done so, set up a new News account and use --->> msnews.microsoft.com as the news server.
