Can anyone sched any light on the following. A customer of ours is complaining that incoming messages are going to his deleted items folder instead of his inbox. I know that when someone sends a large messages and breaks them up, it copies all of the split messages in the deleted folder and then recombines it into one in the inbox but they have assured me this is everything. Could it be that they are timing out and because they are receiving duplicates due to them not downloading all the messages at once that the copies are going to the deleted box. Comments appreciated John Stevens MAM Software Ltd
There is a feature in OE that can cause problems along these lines, and that is the "Block Sender" feature. Folks who do not understand what this feature does can inadvertently put someone on that list, and will hence forth have all their incoming mail sent straight to the "Deleted Items" box. This list is also maintained as a separate list and will not be found in your list of rules. To find and view it, click on Tools / Message Rules / Blocked Senders List ,,,, and see if the misplaced sender is listed, if they are, remove them. If they are not on the Blocked Senders list, then examine every thing contained in the headers and body and compare to any Rules they may have set up, it is VERY easy for a well intentioned Rule to have ill results.
