UGH-OH ,,, maybe we aren't talking about the same window, box, page or what ever. From what Sheldon just described, you need to enlarge your top preview pane by slowly placing your courser over the horiz. divider line between the upper and lower preview panes ,,, when it turns into a dbl. ended arrow press down your left mouse key, hold & drag down ,,, release mouse where you want the divider. ,,,,,,, The vert. divider is also movable ,, same method. Bob Hays BTW: you want to reduce keystrokes, have you even tried the extraction method ,, don't get any less than this. HANDLING DIGESTS IN Outlook Express 5 +: 1. You can either use your regular "Inbox" or create a special mail folder to hold the individual messages. 2. From your list of Inbox messages select the Digest and double click on it. You MUST dbl.click, do not use the paper clip. 3. In the window that opens, look close, just below the header information there is a small window with all the individual messages listed. 4. Click on one of the messages, then : "Edit\Select All" (this will highlight all the messages). 5. Click on the highlighted messages and Drag & Drop them over and into whichever folder you desire. You MUST Drag and Drop or it will not work ,,,,,,,,,,,, and there they are, just like individually received messages. ,,, doing this does not destroy the digest, you still have the digest just as you received it. you can keep the extracted msg.'s and delete the digest or keep the digest and delete all extracted msg.'s or keep both or delete both. 6. Close the huge Digest window, go to where you dropped them and start reading. PS> before you start this transfer, you may have to move the large digest window over to one side to uncover your regular folders so you can see where to Drop. _________________________________ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Seldon Parker" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 15, 2001 8:16 PM Subject: Re: [OE] Tiny little slits > Hello Kaylene, > With a check mark in the View, Layout, Preview Pane, > sometimes we can see 2 and sometimes we can see 3 DIGEST > mode headings, and on the right hand end of this preview > pane is located the paper clip icon that opens the DIGESTS. > This a.m. a digest with 12 messages opened, one with 18 > messages did not open with the paper clip. Hello Bob, In the IN BOX preview pane, this a.m. I have your "this" email next is "The Ontario Digest" which will open with the paper clip. Being nosy after I had checked it, I double clicked on it this opens in a new page, with different panels, and the panel that contains the email headings cannot be dragged larger in any direction, this new page then shows starting at the top left blue bar Ontario Digest or "whatever" this is the MS blue bar that you can click on and drag the page up down or sideways, very much like this outgoing page, in fact while writing this I am dragging the page around to check the message below it "yours" to be sure I am answering the proper questions, I think <G>. I sure hope the above makes some sense !
