    3. Gee, I thought the question was totally different when I first read the query. This is what I thought the question was: > When the digests from rootsweb arrive, sometimes the titles in the box labeled "Attach", (under the "Subject" box), are in very narrow slits, and I can hardly hit the ("Subject") titles to open the messages. Sometimes everything is fine. What gives? < This happens when someone has sent a query with a "Subject" so long that it brings up the bottom scroll bar on the "Attach" box. What I do is click the "Maximize" button in the top right corner of the open window (to make the window larger) and there is more room for the "Subject" line in the "Attach" box and no need for the bottom scroll bar. It only happens when someone puts too much in their "Subject" line, other times everything is fine. Could Jennifer's problem be this simple though? (Just thinking out loud.) 3. You read it right Kaylene ,,, and I wish it was as simple as that. The length of the subject line appears to have nothing to do with this problem. In my machine, the Attach box is the same height whether maximized or not. (longer but same height) I have determined that the Attach box is self adjusting from 1 subject up to 3 subjects, at 4 or more, the right end scroll bar kicks in. The exception to this is if the overall page size is stretched out wide enough so that the Attach box can accommodate 6 subjects.(a left & right column with 3 sub.'s in each column) The length of the subject line WILL determine if 3 or 4 --> 6 subjects will be displayed, but should not have any effect on how high the Attach box is. If there is 1 subject, the attach box is 1 subject high, with 2, it is 2 high, with 3, it is 3 high with 4 it is still 3 high and the scroll bar appears. If you have enough digests stored with the right number of msg.'s you can test this for yourself by opening one and move the right and/or left page walls in and out and watch what the Attach box does. To test the full range, you will need a digest with only 1 msg., 1 with 2-3, and 1 with 4 up. ,,, if you don't have them, I do. (have digests, will travel) The problem, as I understand it, is even with 4 or more subjects, the Attach box is not high enough for a proper display. Back to the drawing board. 3. Hello Kaylene, With a check mark in the View, Layout, Preview Pane, sometimes we can see 2 and sometimes we can see 3 DIGEST mode headings, and on the right hand end of this preview pane is located the paper clip icon that opens the DIGESTS. This a.m. a digest with 12 messages opened, one with 18 messages did not open with the paper clip. So just above the paper clip are the 2 up down arrows we click these to scroll through the digest and then have to double click on the messages we wish to read. By the way, I only run my screen in the maximized position. Any suggestions you have on getting the paperclip icon to work on the larger digests would be welcomed with a great big hug. Anything to reduce keystrokes or clicks is always welcome. Seldon Parker, Oakwood, ON. ----- Original Message ----- From: "V. K.
