Hello List, First of all, i believe an apology is in order. I am sorry I have not responded to my earlier call for help sooner. Unfortunately, business matters required my attention. I finally "fixed" my problems with O/E and Prodigy Internet. I deleted all of the short cuts that I had on my desktop for them, and reloaded new ones. This did the trick for my Prodigy connection, but did not work for the direct shortcut to O/E. But I can live with accessing it through the Prodigy homepage. As I read Robert Hays' advice on correcting the problem in a perhaps more permanent manner, I was "scared off" by the reg.edit instructions which said that I could possibly (read take it to the bank it will happen!) mess things up by tampering with it. Thus my attempt to utilize a "safer" fix! When it comes to program problems, I tend to break out the duct tape rather than the cutting torch and welder! I am saving the instructions that Robert so kindly sent in case I have further problems. Thank you, for your assistance. And, again, please forgive my late response. Jess ,,,, check your version of Prodigy and see if it is ver. 5 . If it is there is a patch available to fix your problem. Please let me know as I have several helpers standing by to help with this problem. To find the ver. #, on the prodigy upper most Tool bar click on Help / About ,,, the ver. # should be there somewhere.
