I have some folders that are "under" a folder they shouldn't be. How do you move them. I have a folder called "gardens". It has a + beside it. Under "gardens" is a folder called "funnies" I want "funnies" to be a seperate folder. Also under "farms" there is a folder called "dixie quotes" that I want seperate. I don't know how they jumped :) under there!! Jane McCombs Gillespie [email protected] RESEARCHING MCCOMB/MCCOMBS IN SC HOPEWELL PRESBYTERIAN MCCORMICK CO SC
Jane, Go to your "funnies" folder and highlight the file/files on the right side of your screen that you want to move. Go up to the tool bar and highlight "Edit" and choose "Move to Folder" Your "Move" screen will appear. Click on "New Folder" and type in the name of a new folder, (I guess in your case "Funnies" Then highlight the file/files you want to move and drag and drop into the new folder. Hope this helps. I have this same problem, but I have a Macintosh computer, and your directions didn't work for me. Does anyone know how I can get a folder named "Franklin Co" out from under another folder? Please help! Or am I the only Mac person on the list?
