    3. Bob Sorry, the wsock32.dll file was there. We checked first thing this morning and it was there in his windows\system directory. It is difficult on the phone, he must of had some hidden files or typed it in wrong on Friday. Anyway it is there. So we are back to square one. Last week we did do an Internet Explorer repair. Obviously this hasn't worked. Also in the add remove programs under Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and Inrenet Tools there is a third option to Restore the previous windows configuration. Could this resolve it. Apparently everything used to work, browsing, e-mail until one of our engineers uninstalled and reinstalled one of our software programs. This is why we need to get this resolved as I am the one who is left to sort it out.
