    3. Is this person able to access his email? I ask because with one of my computers I can do neither. I can link to my ISP, but cannot go further than that. I, too, have gone through every possible configuration and nothing seemed to work. What OS is he using? 3. Should we take on your problem while we are at it ???? If so, what OS and mail client on that sick computer and what happens when you try to check for mail. What kind of dial up do you use: (for both machines) 1. Modem 2. DSL or any other direct connect method. 3. I'd be most grateful. I was just waiting until the weekend to call and go through the nightmare of contacting HP tech services. First of all, I am not having any trouble with my old HP computer (which I am using at the moment). It is just very slooooooooooow compared to the other one. The computer is a HPXP788 AMD 1 GHZ, 128MB (upgraded - but I can't remember to what) 60 GB The OS is ME The modem is: Conexant SoftK56 Data, Fax, PCI Modem I have both IE and Netscape browsers and OE, Netscape, Eudora & Pegasus email programs installed - none of any of these worked. I could get connected to my ISP (a local company), but when I tried to view a web page, I got an error "cannot be displayed" message. When I tried to access my email (from any of the four email programs) I got a Popserver3 message - can't remember what it was. I went through hours of trying to get it to work with the tech people at my ISP, nothing worked. Now, I can't even get through to my ISP. When I click on the ISP icon it brings up the dialing window. When I click on that it immediately goes to a blue screen that has "Error OE: 0028:0000DD02". Then when I hit a key, the dialing window comes up and it appears to be dialing, but there is no sound coming from the modem. That's about it :-) Karima ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Hays" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2001 1:08 AM Subject: Re: [OE] Cannot browse any pages > Should we take on your problem while we are at it ???? > If so, what OS and mail client on that sick computer and what happens when you try to check for mail. > What kind of dial up do you use: (for both machines) > 1.
