    1. [OE] editing my e-mail address on outgoing mail?
    2. Hello All, Please forgive this computer rookie. I would so greatly appreciate some help! Is there a way for me to block (delete, erase) my personal e-mail address in the "from" box when I send outgoing mail? Recently, I became a list maintainer, and rather than have my own address appear when I send messages, I would like the admin address to be there. Must I create a "new identity'? Please help? I've poured over my manual to no avail! Thank you for your help. Cheers Teena

    3. There is a way to do it Teena, but it can get to be very confusing. ,,,, It requires that you "Fake" or "Forge" your list address in place of your own. The real problem will come when you DO want to send a private email and forget to change your address back to your real one.,,,, and I guarantee, you WILL forget. There is two places in your mail account that can be changed: 1. Tools / Accounts / Mail tab / Mail account Name / Properties / General tab / ,,,,,, under "User Information" / Name: What ever is entered here is what will appear in the "From: " field 2. Tools / Accounts / Mail tab / Mail account Name / Properties / General tab / ,,,,,, under "User Information" / E-Mail Address: What ever is entered here is what will appear in the header as the sender. If you enter [email protected] (where xxxxxxx is the name of your list) into # 1 above, then your list address will show up in the "From" field, but your real address will still be in the header. If you enter [email protected] (where xxxxxxx is the name of your list) into # 2 above, then this is what will show in the header as the sender. Put your real name (not address) in # 1 & [email protected] (where xxxxxxx is the name of your list) in # 2 and you are covered ,,,, real address is hidden. ,,, also do not fill in your "Reply To: " option. ________________ Another way to do it and may be less confusing is to set up another Account for your list ,,, then all you have to do is switch your "Default" account back and forth. First, go into the Properties for your real account and record all the information for every Tab ,,, you will also need your User name & Password ,,,, this done: Tools / Accounts / Mail tab / Add ,,,, fill in the blanks identical to your current account except for your e-mail address ,, use: [email protected] (where xxxxxxx is the name of your list) . ,,, also under the General Tab , do not select the "Include this account when receiving mail or synch'ing" Once this is working, just switch to the list account (make it the Default) BEFORE you even start to answer any list mail. Take note that RW may very well frown on the above course of action as wide spread use of it will increase the load on their servers. It would also help to set up a "Signature" like one of mine below.
