Hi Bob, Thank you for taking the time & trouble writing down all this help. I have checked as instructed. Two observations: I have two URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol listed. If I follow your instructions on both they are set up exactly as you say. BUT On one of them the description title that comes up when you first open it to edit says URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy the other says URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol I wonder if this is something to do with the problem...guess!! If this is a red herring, it's back to you. Thanks again Derek ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Hays" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2001 9:29 PM Subject: Re: [OE] URL links via Outlook Express > OK Derek ,,, the first thing to check is your file associations: > On your desk top, double click on your "My Computer" icon ,,,, click on > "View", then "Folder Options", then "File Types" tab ,,, scroll down the list > to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol ,, there will be a long list of > URL:XXXXXXXXXXX but URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol is the one you want. ,,, > Under "File type details" should be : > 1.
