    3. Hi John ,,,,,,,,,, It seems that the voyager.net server thinks your server is an open relay, an open relay server is a server that spammers and virus writers love to use to hide their identity. By routing their mail through several of these "open relay" sites, spammers can obliterate the true origin of the spam. It would be equivalent to you being able to compose a letter and address it in such a way that it would be sent to one city who would "relay" it on to another city who would "relay" it on to another city before reaching its' final destination and each "relay" destroyed the return address. Normal mail routing does not destroy the original sender address. Many servers maintain a list of known spammer servers and will refuse to accept email from them. Some servers end up on these lists unjustly, not because of the contents of their mail but because of the volume, RootsWeb is one that gets put on these lists on a regular basis because of their volume of mail. I had it happen to me, I was using a server that was rejected by another server. I called my ISP and complained about it, just so happened my ISP used more than one mail server so they switched me over to the other server and have had no more problems. You need to call your ISP , tell them what happened and is there anything they can do about it. 3. Priority , flags, attachment clip, all came pre installed on every version I have installed . Only thing I ever had to use the columns for was stuff after the received column size/sent/to . Using the TO column helps if you dont want to filter every thing , you can see who its to and click on the To column they will all gather, then you can highlight them and move them to some other folder where you might like them. You can change the column size by using the mouse and left click on the line and drag it larger or smaller. 3. I doubt that using a larger font size has anything to do with its' color ,,,, You are right about one thing, if he uses a program to enlarge the print, you should send in your normal font size and let his program do the enlarging. His color problem could also be in his enlarging program which is why I ask in my reply if he was having a color problem with other peoples email or just yours. ,,,,, you did not answer that question. Neither do we know if he is using a third party program or the Microsoft Accessibility tools ,,,, Microsoft has all kinds of Accessibility tools for people with disabilities, all he has to do is install the ones he needs. ,,,, Open the OE Help file and search for Accessibility to read about them. The fact that your msg.'s to this list are Black suggests that the problem is on your Cousins end ,, not yours. to be sure, you could send me (off list) an HTML msg. exactly like you would send to your cousin (in 14 pt. font) and see if it is yellow for me. 2. Robert Hays
    3. I am a little late on this thread (been out of town) but will still put in my 2 cents worth. As Dan has already said, read the help files ,,,, good advice. So just a little additional input. To use the Flag, it should be added to your "Columns" list ,,, View / Columns ... put a check mark in the selection box for those you want to use ,,, position all columns where you want them by using the "Up" or "Down" buttons. Any Column you have no intention of using should be un-checked to reduce clutter and make room for those you do want to use. Column arrangement will not be the same on all computers ,,, depends on how each person has them set up. There is only one Flag, there are other symbols but only one Flag ,,, it does absolutely nothing, it is used to (( Mark )) msg.'s for whatever reason you wish ,,,, it looks like a little red pendant on the top of a pole. To use it you need to understand the Columns,,, Each Column you have in use is separated from the other Columns with a vertical "Separator" line ,, the area directly under the Column name & between the separator line on either side of the column name is reserved for use by that column ,, the column separator lines do not extend all the way down the msg. pane so you have to mentally extend these lines on down the page. NOW ,, to turn On a flag for a msg. ,, position your cursor directly under the Flag column name (stay between the two imaginary lines) and directly opposite the msg. to be Flagged and left click ,,, the little red flag should appear ,,,,,, to remove it, simply left click on it again. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion. 3. I use flags to remind me NOT to delete the post or to remind me that it needs an answer or look up. 3. Don't know what format mail you are sending to that person, but try this: Tools / Options / Compose tab ,,, click on Fonts for the Mail window ,,, in the window that comes up there is a setting for the font color ,,, if you need to change it ,, change it, click on OK ,, then click on Apply ,, then OK again. Does this other person receive other mail from other people that has a yellow font or just yours ??? Hope this helps Bob Hays _________________________________ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly Kelly" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2001 4:59 PM Subject: [OE] yellow print on white paper > I have been told by one of my cousins, who is sight-impaired that my e-mails are coming thru with yellow print on white paper and is difficult for him to read.
