Okay here's the deal, I know that when you click Reply All it is supposed to go to the person and the list. When I do it, has the list addy twice. Why? Hi Gold, If you look on the actual post (right up above in the address line) you will see cc with a little book. Click on the book. You will then get the address book. Highlight the address and then either click on cc or bcc. That should do it. Connie Mead --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). John ,,, when the repair utility was run and issued an error msg., if the details of that error msg. were to be examined, it should tell you what was wrong as well as a course of action. It would be helpful if we knew what was reported as the reason why it could not be repaired. Hi John ,,, ComCat has been a sore spot in Win 98 & NT 4 every since 98 & NT4 came on line. ComCat.dll has a companion file named OLE32.Dll and these two files MUST be matched version wise or all kinds of problems will surface. The problem started when programs began to install ComCat ver. 5.0 while your sys. still had Ole32.dll ver.4.0 installed, this led to problems and ComCat had to be changed back to ver. 4.71 to restore normal operation. In a nut shell, ComCat.dll v 5.0 cannot function properly with any version of ole32.dll less than 4.71. If you installed or reinstalled the OS with a ver. of ole32.dll less than 4.71 already installed, then ComCat.dll file will fail to register itself (it is a self registering file) in the registry, and when this happens, nothing is going to work right. The first thing to do is check what versions of ComCat.dll & Ole32.dll is installed: 1 Comcat.dll should be 5.0 2. Ole32.dll should be 4.71.xxxx What action you take from here depends on what you find in # 1 & 2 above. Possible problems include: A. Corrupt Comcat.dll and/or Ole32.dll Replace both with correct ver.'s & reregister B. Incorrectly registered Comcat.dll un-register then re-register C. wrong ver. of Ole32.dll replace with correct ver. or replace Comcat.dll with ver. 4.71 & register. You did not mention what OS you are working with so pay attention to the path to these files as it is not the same for 98 & NT Also check and see if you have regsvr32.exe on your disk, you will need it if you have to do any registering. If you do not know how to register a file, get back to me and I will show you a very simple way to do it while still in Windows and it automatically compensates for the path. Can anyone sched any light on the following. Today, one of our member of staff was on a customer's site setting up their Internet browser of which they have done many times before but for some reason they could not display any web-pages. The dial-up was fine. ie connecting to the Internet. DNS servers were also fine but their browser would just not find anything. He did a repair of the browser, as I suggested, but got a message saying it could not be repaired and that I should run the setup program. He ran iesetup.exe again and the program seemed to install but when the machine rebooted I got an error message 'Unable to find the function 'DllregisterServer' in the file c:\winnt\system32\comcat.dll. I clicked on OK and got An error occurrec calling dllregisterserver in c:\winnt\system32\asctrls.ocx hresult=80004005. He tried IE again and as before, it connected OK but then I could not see any web pages. I am guessing this is either a Windoze or IE problem. Any comments appreciated John Stevens MAM Software Ltd

Would someone please tell me how to send blind carbon copies when using Prodigy in Outlook Express. When I called Prodigy the "tech" insisted I had a slot for Bcc and I do not. I do know what if I double click the Cc slot a box pops up that contains more boxes within this main box. There is a box on the left of this main box which contains many addresses and one of the boxes on the right is for Bcc BUT I don't know how to get an address in there. I can't type it in & I tried highlighting one of the address in the address box and dragging it into the Bcc box but that not only didn't work; it froze up my comp. I sure would appreciate help on this. Thank you. Gold

Yes, if used it will reply to everyone in the email message you received (sender and cc's). If Reply is used it will only reply to the actual sender. If a mailing list is configured to default reply only to the mailing list (as is this one) Reply All will only reach the mailing list. However, if a mailing list is configured to reply to the original poster *and* the mailing list and you use Reply, it will only go to the poster, if you use Reply All it will go to both the poster and the mailing list.
