First...Baseball. It is a game where opposing players of 9 members take alternate turns playing offense and defense. In the offense mode, a player attempts to hit a ball with a stick and run around a diamond shaped field with three safety bases before the defense can catch him between bases or catch the ball he hit before it hits the ground. Do you need any more help on this? Stats: http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/leverdi01.shtml He was born March 29, 1894 in Georgetown, Texas and died February 20, 1957 in Beaverton, OR. The World War I Draft Registration Card image database shows Gorham Vance Leverett, born March 29, 1894 in Georgetown, Texas. He was a student at Quachita College, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was single. After that... He was a baseball (BB) player, who knows where he might have been during the census. Many BB players take the off season as vacation outside of the county. Today, even, they are playing in other hemispheres to tone their skills. Some even had alias names that they used to avoid their following. I couldn't find any online family tree's or other family data, which really doesn't mean anything. He may not have had children; or their existence was masked from public scrutiny...it still occurs today. So, I'd suggest obtaining an obituary, if available from the Portland Newspaper following his death in 1957. It "may" have some information about his family.
