Piper, a Forest Grove resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Interment will be in Fir Lawn Cemetery. She died of causes related to age Thursday in her home. Mrs. Piper was 88. She was born March 28, 1902, in Stroud, Okla. She lived in Washington and in California before moving to Hillsboro in 1950. Mrs. Piper was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. Her husband, Herman Piper, died in 1979. Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Wetherington of Yakima; sons, Merle of Olympia, Lee of Pensacola, Fla., Don of Hillsboro and Cordell of Kelso, Wash.; half-sister, Leon Alspaw of Dallas, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
