One of Benjamin's and Rachel's daughters, Sarah, was married to Powers. I know a little bit about Benjamin and Rachels children as some of them are listed in the newspaper article about the pistol duel. Also, Sarah and the 2 daughters she had with Powers lived with her family following the incident. So I have some census records of the family after 1881. Beyond that I don't know much about the Cornelius family. Both of Sarah and John Powers daugthers had difficulties/tragedy as young adults. Daughter Minnie died in a shipwreck of a steamship about 6 months after she married. The other daughter, Maude, was widowed young and was in an accident that left her disfigured.
