Cause of death was unavailable. Born in Terrell, Ark., he served in the Army during World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a U.S. Postal Service worker for 20 years and belonged to St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard, the Knights of Columbus and Retired Postal Workers Association. He enjoyed nature. Survivors include his wife, Pauline daughters, Benedicta Hill of Marysville, Wash., and Kathleen Wilde of Tigard and five grandchildren. Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem, which he attended. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements are by Young's Funeral Home.
