Good day Oregon researchers: I would like to make contact with anyone with information on VANDERHOOF, CONVERSE, WINDOM, or HENDRICKSON families in Oregon. I am trying to determine the parents of SUSAN ACELIA VANDERHOOF, who was born in Michigan around 1860, married D. WINDOM in Yamhill Co., Oregon in 1875, and later married C. HENDRICKSON (no info on this marriage). I am pursuing a hunch that the parents may be Sarah E. CONVERSE (1841) & John VANDERHOOF (1834), from Pennsylvania and Michigan. This VANDERHOOF family may have come from Michigan to Oregon between 1865 and 1869, via Nebraska and Montana. They may at first have been in West Chehalem, Yamhill County (1870 Census), and then at some point may have moved on to Boring, Clackamas County (late 1880s). It is possible they may have been with other CONVERSE or VANDERHOOF family members. Possible children of Sarah E.
