Hillsboro Argus Jul 18, 1907 page 3 col 5 Edward W. Kerr, died in NP Sanitarium in Portland of appendicitis. Born Nov 22, 1882 in LaJunta, CO, son of late J. F. and Elizabeth Kerr who reside near Middleton. Married 1902 Miss Ida Thompson, he died July 15, 1907. survived by widow and 2 small children, and mother Mrs. Elizabeth Kerr, bro George Kerr of Gobel; John of Portland; T.M. of Hillsboro, Joseph of Middleton; James F. of Hillsboro; Dan of Laurel; Charles of Hillsboro; sis - Mrs. Louise McDaniel, Middleton; Mrs. Abigail Montgomery, Middleton. Funeral in Hillsboro on July 17, 1907. He may be buried in Hillsboro Pioneer Cemetery, no marker. His father owned, and is buried in Lot 227, IOOF section. By 1910: 1910 Census Soundex, South Tualatin prec, ED 279, sheet 9, line 35 McFee, John H. age 34, born in OR Ida, wife, age 25 born in IA Kerr, Star, stepson, age 6 born OR Kerr, Leone, stepson, age 5 born OR Kerr, William,stepson, age 2, born OR Kerr, Wilma, step dau, age 2, born OR There is probably more information on the Kerr family; but not at my fingertips.
