Howe, (born Jan. 1, 1864); died in Portland, Oregon on February 20, 1948. I do not know in which cemetery in Portland that he is buried. I think Herbert C. Howe was Lutheran. www.ohd.hr.state.or.us/chs/certif/certfaqs.cfm. This will give you info on obtaining a death certificate (you should be able too - they are only restricted for 50 years after date of death). All the certs I have abtained contain burial info if they were buried in the Portland area. I am going to the Oregon Historical Society tomorrow to do some research, I will search for an obit on him...it may say were he is buried - and save you some cash (death certs. Are $20, but I believe if you request via fax/e-mail, it is actually more and could take a lot longer to get).
