Yesterday at a Web site (http://home.inreach.com/wboss/durham.htm), I found this information: Albert Alanso Durham b. 15 mar 1814, Genesee co., NY m. Miranda Almira White, 6 Nov 1836, Geauga Co., OH d. 4 Apr 1898, Fanno Creek, Washington, Oregon (founded the town Lake Oswego, Oregon and the town Durham Mills, near Portland was named for him.) one of the siblings listed for him was: Sylvester Alfasszo Durham b. 8 sep 1818, New York m. 30 sep 1841, Elizabeth Parker, Pickaway Co., Oh I believe this Sylvester may be my ggg-grandfather. My Sylvester married in Ohio about 1841 and then moved to Shelby Co, MO > Neosho Co, Kansas. I am hoping by finding more information on Albert Durham that I will be able to prove that my Sylvester was his brother, and therefore extend that line back a few more generations! If anyone is connected with this family, please contact me. Your help would be greatly appreciated and I, of course, would be willing to share any information I have about Sylvester and his family.
