    3. Joani, Oregon death certificates started in 1903 but they are very sketchy until 1920---I'm not sure what Washington co. information shows as the death certificates are State certificates and kept at the department of Health for 50 years then sent to the state archieves. the information that is kept in Wa. county would seem to be transcribed material into ledgers rather than the actual documents. If you have the dates, and they are before 1951 then the death certificates are at the State archieves here in Salem. I would be glad to go over and get those copies for you. I would need the date and name and county of death. If you do not have the county I can look that up but need the name---the date would help to verify that I am getting the right people---After Jan 1. of 2003 the 1952 certificates will be at the archieves. In the meantime send me the names and dates and I will see if there is a certificate for them at the health department or at the archieves. clara On Tue, 23 Jul 2002 23:14:47 EDT JHami828@aol.com writes: > I need death records for some people buried in Tualatin.
