Author: jgonnuscio Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.oregon.counties.washington/1317.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I found an obit for Henrietta Ludwig in the 25 Jan 1906 Hillsboro Argus and an public notice in the 2 Feb 1906 Hillsboro Independent. I will email them to you. Blooming is a cemetery I helped transcribe. Here is the info I have for that family: A card file noted "HOLTZ, D.A. 13 Mar 1879 - 10 Sep 1891", but I didn't find this person. Block7 Lot2 Spc 2 HOLTZ, Frederich W. No headstone Cem. book records: Frederich Wilhelm bur.2-13-1895 File card reads: 17 Jan 1871 - 10 Feb 1895 Block7 Lot 4 Spc 2 HOLTZ, Henrietta No headstone transcri Cem. book records: 67y4m18d bur.1-23-1906 File card reads: 4 Aug 1838 - 22 Jan 1906 Wife of Ludwig Block7 Lot 4 Spc 1 HOLTZ, Ludwig No headstone transcri Cem. book records: 74y 4m 23d bur.11-15-1903 2 File card reads: 20 Jun 1829 - 13 Nov 1903 Block7 Lot 2 Spc 1 HOLTZ, Luisa Ida No headstone transcri Headstone reads: Ida Holtz Geb. 13 Marz 1879 Gest. 10 Sept 1891 Cem. book records: 12y5m28d bur.2-13-1895 I'm not sure why most of these have no headstone transcription. It's been so long ago that I was out there. I think that they just had a headstone with a name and no other information. The entries were not marked No Headstone so there must be stones. I also had the following note: Washington County Death Book I, p3, line32 Henrietta Holtz, d 22 Jan 1906, age 67y, female, white, married. Died Cornelius, Born Germany. Occu: housewife. Mother name not given, b Germany. Cause: Paral. Rpt. Dr. FJ Bailey. Happy Hunting! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
