I've identified myself to his daughter once before when she came to let me know that the cemetery was closing. Told her who I was and what I was doing there. You see, there are people who will apply for a replacement SS card, or birth certificate, by finding a dead person of the right birth year and using the name of a dead person to commit crimes. Lots of scams arise from using names of deceased people. Good for the sextant to know who you are.
