Maxine look on line at the Oregon Death index, Oregon State archives site, not the Ancestry site. Be sure to check the Portland index as it is seperate for the early years.---Many people from Wa. co. died in Portland hospital. if you do find a listing let me know and I will be glad to go to the archives and get a copy of the death certificate for you. The Portland newspapers are at the State library and I can check those for an obit if I have a positive death date. At that time period there wasn't always an obit or even a death notice but will be glad to check for you.
