What happened was that during the civil war Pleasant moved his family up to Davidson County (Nashville) and several of his children and his wife Vasti died in 1864 from the small pox. I always thought that Geroge was one of them. Then when I was looking through some old newspaper articals I found one that mention a Geroge W. Grayson of Oregon visited his parents Mr. and Mrs P.C. Grayson. Dated 1-25-1900. The only surviving children are; Tennesse Jain b. 1850; George b. abt. 1856, Pleasant Carrol Jr. (my wife's gr-grandfather) b. 1857, and a Anderson Grayson b. 1861. Pleasant Sr., remarried again in Davidson co., to a Elizabeth King in 1864. George's son was named Carl Grayson. Pleasant Jr. never did like going by Pleasant and you would always see his name as Carol or Carl Grayson. I wonder if that is who he was named after? If this is our lost Geroge, I wish I could find a descendant that might have a picture of him to compare to the rest of the family. I have pictures of Pleasant Sr., Tennessee and P.C. jr.. (my youngest son looks allot like Pleasant Carrol Jr.,) I also have a picture of Pleasant's parents, Henry Grayson and Nancy Hixson. Who ever you find, just let me know and I hope it is our lost George. Thank you for all your help and it is greatly apprecitated. Dennis
