Today I found and transcribed the beautiful abandoned cemetery near Bull Mountain Road and intersection with 99. From King City travel north and just before the left turn to Bull Mtn Rd, find a little road to the right with big mailbox, newspaper box, a dead end and a closed road sign......300 feet up the hill a branch to the left takes you into a small graveled parking lot. Among the trees on the hillside overlooking 99W, it is a beautiful place to rest. Joani was looking for this too, and I'll need her eyes to confirm what I wrote down. Some writing was so small only my finger tips could find the depressions and discern the text. Soon as I get the surnames compiled, I'll put them (at least) on this list. In about an hour, but time to eat now. Don

Hi gang. We do have Tigard Evangelical Cemetery listed in our index, but it hasn't been transcribed yet. Joani may be able to transcribe that one for us. I don't know how big it is or how long it will take. Thanks for checking that one out Judy. You must live close by. Thanks all. jasonparent@sympatico.ca I don't know that anything is wrong, but the above address subscribed to dozens of lists two days ago, and over yesterday and today has tried to unsubscribe from those lists, plus other lists apparently not on. I would just suggest caution if you see this email address cross your screen, but if legitimate, I'll stop worrying about it. As list admins we have much to worry about.<GRIN> Have a great week all. We are trying to find out more about her parents James Kerr and Iva E. Carter. James is said to be from Kerrville, Texas and Iva from Tennessee, but we can't get them from beyond what we already have in Oregon. >From the Oregon State Archives I found Iva committed in 1918 and 1830 and apperently died in custody of the mental institute in 1920. My SIL is going to order those records and see what she gets. I spent a couple of hours yesterday going through the cemetery listing at the suggested site, I really appreciate the efforts that dedicated researchers put into surveying cemeteries and posting the information! Thanks, Peggy

Porter b.1889. Anyhow, I did want to respond anyhow, because there are others out there like myself who are currently transcribing various cemteries in Washington county. I happen to currently be working on Forest View in Forest Grove, Washington County, Oregon. There are many cemeteries that are complete online! The best I can do is wish you luck in your search and point you too this wonderful site. Check out: www.rootsweb.com/~orwashin/cemlist.html This should give you a good start at the many cemeteries in Washington county! Good Luck, Shelley
There are several members of the Kerr family buried in Hillsboro Pioneer.; but no Alpha or Juanita named. I do not have time at the moment to do further research; would be able to after the 15th. One obit says some of the family lived at Middleton. there may be other in Hillsboro cemetery without markers. 1910 Washington Co., OR Census, North Hillsboro Prec; ED 275 sheet 3 line 30 James F. Hi List, Thanks to all of you who responded. We have concluded that we need more information before we make the trip to Washington County. We will see what we can find out and plan a trip for next year. Thanks for saving us a bunch of time by not having enough clues. It is the biggest news paper in Portland. As for which one, obituaries are published everyday in the METRO section. Hope that answers your question. Oh and you can find The Oregonian online, they do have a site (don't happen to have the address on me), but they do keep some archived papers on line. Not sure if they go back that far, but there is info there at the site, that will put you in contact with them for questions.
