The article on his memorial was from the The Dalles Daily Chronicle, The Dalles, Wasco Co., Oregon, Wednesday, 5 February 1896, p. 3. Looking for something that may identify whether he was the son of James Lane and Catherine Bond and brother of Edmund Halley Lane who lived in Nehalem. Nanci, I found Clarence V. Lane's obit listed in The Dalles Daily Chronicle and also in The Dalles-Times Mountaineer. His wife is listed only as Mrs. Lane. No children were listed. But I also found his marriage anouncement in the Mountaineer on 19 July 1890. He was married to Mattie Stevens Watson on 17 July 1890 in Antelope.
