Neil and Avis Hunt were married June 14, 1953 by Reverend Harry V. Atkins in the Christian Church in Dufur [Oregon]. A celebration in honor of their 50 years of marriage will be hosted at Dufur Christian Church on August 17 from 12:30 – 3:30 by their children, Dr. Alan Hunt, Debra McCabe, Connie Israel, Julie Boyer, and Sherri Atherton. He is a retired cattle and wheat rancher. They were foster parents for 20 plus Years to 49 children, one those became a granddaughter. They were high school sweethearts at Maupin [Oregon] High School. He was a Boy Scout leader for several years and she was a 4-H leader during the years her Children were in 4-H. They wish to share this special time with family and friends.
