Ariel and Alice Morgan will celebrate 25 years of marriage on Sunday, October 19, at an open house at the Columbia Grange Hall in Lyle [Washington] from 2–4. Everyone welcome. They met while dancing at the Eagles Lodge in The Dalles. Upon getting Acquainted they soon discovered they had much in common. Both were born in small Oregon towns. Ariel in Moro and Alice in Dufur. They were both born the same Year 1916, in months beginning in J. Ariel in January and Alice in June. His Mother’s name was Ivy and her mother’s name was Iva. They both had names beginning in A and contained five letters. They became good friends and were married October 21, 1978 in Stevenson [Washington], attended by her son Joe Pinell and wife Peggy. They settled in her home in Dallesport [Washington] and together bought another Adjoining lot and a half on which they raised a big garden and shared vegetables With family and friends. In the early spring of 2003 a portion of the big garden yielded to a new house and at the ages of 87 they moved into it. But he hasn’t Hung up his hoe yet! He still raises enough vegetables for the house and to share with family and friends. They would like to share this happy occasion with you and request no gifts.
