Wasco County is celebrating its Sesquientennial [150 years] in 2004. At one period, Wasco County extended east to the Rocky Mountains. Since that time, several counties have been created out of what was once Wasco County. Various committees are gathering information to publicize the Sesquientennial. Any information you would care to share would be most welcome in this region. I am a member of The Columbia Gorge Genealogical Society, Wasco County Historical Society, Historic The Dalles Day, Wasco County Pioneer Association, Sherman County Historical Society, and Dufur Historical Society. I will certainly share whatever information you send me amongst these groups.
