Weekly Mountaineer February 12, 1880 DIED (communicated) Albert G. Doyle died at his late residence on Eight Mile Creek, in this county, January 2*[1 or 4?]th, 1880. He was a native of Illinois and a graduate of the Cincinnatti Medical College - "Eclectic School." He had been a great sufferer for 30 years with that terrible disease scrofnia. Death to him was not unexpected; he had "set his house in order", and when the message came it found him with his business all arranged and ready to go. He had been a member of the M.E. Church [Methodist Episcopalian] for a great many years. A large concourse of friends and neighbors attended the last sad ceremonies of our departed friend, and listened to a discourse from the scripture - "Blessed are they who die in the Lord."
