Surnames: Wood, Mangold, Jochim, Burr, Malone, Jenson, Huff Elizabeth Kay Wood, 87, a former resident of The Dalles, died at a Pendleton [Oregon] care facility Sunday, October 19, 2003. She was born May 24, 1916 in Inverness, Montana, the fourth of seven children To Martin and Marianna (Mangold)Jochim. She married Floyd E. Wood in Great Falls, Montana. They lived in The Dalles from 1978 to 1997, and then moved to Nyssa [Oregon]. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed her family, cooki8ng, the outdoors, gardening and television Soap operas. She is survived by three children, George D. Wood, Reno, Nevada; Eileen Martha Burr, Pendleton; Captain Nadine Barbara Malone of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea; three grandchildren, Pamela Jenson, The Dalles; Lester C. Huff, Texas; Diana C. Huff, Salt Lake City [Utah]; one great-granddaughter, Olivia; a brother, Tony Jochim and a sister, Barbara, both of Inverness. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd in October 1998. Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home >From 10 a.m. Thursday, October 23, through the funeral services. Funeral Services will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23, at 1 p.m. with Asa Jenson officiating. Interment will follow at Dufur [Oregon] Community Cemetery.
