Surnames: Miller, Lamkin, Wilson, Carroll Ellen Irene Miller, 60, a resident of The Dalles, died at the local hospital Thursday, September 18, 2003. She was born June 10, 1943, in Modesto, California, the fourth of five children To James Ellsworth and Alma Rose (Lamkin) Wilson. She grew up and attended Schools in California and settled in The Dalles in 1960. She married Robert M. Miller on July 31, 1960, in Goldendale, Washington, and Worked in fruit processing for many years in The Dalles. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, reading, the outdoors, Hunting, fishing and camping. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Miller, The Dalles; three sons, Robert M. Miller Jr., Gresham [Oregon]; Alan J. Miller and his wife, Cindy, The Dalles; Steve R. Miller and his wife, Gloria, Arlee, Montana; seven Grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-step-grandchildren; her Brothers, James “Bud” Wilson and his wife, Virginia, The Dalles; John Wilson And his wife, Sharon, Kansas; and her sister, Christine Carroll and her Husband, Jim, Gresham. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rose Mary. Private services were held September 20. Cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of Arrangements. The Dalles Chronicle September 23, 2003.
