Mr. Metier, who at one time was a mechanic for Walther-Williams Motors here, was born June 4, 1877, at Garden Grove, Iowa. He was a member of the Cherry Park Grange and the Old Wasco County Pioneer Association. Surviving are his widow, Mary Ellen Metier of The Dalles; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Mulligan of Goldendale; and four step-daughters, Mrs. Mabel Bunn of Lincoln Beach, Mrs. Ruth Fulton of Coos Bay and Mrs. Ruby Sewell and Mrs. Pearl Means, both of The Dalles.
