The Dalles Optimist Thursday, December 30, 1909 Front page MAN KILLED IN RR YARDS William Howell, an aged man, was found dead in the O.R.& N. yards Friday night. Howell, who was deaf and almost totally blind, was run over and killed by a Locomotive. Coroner C.N. Burget held an inquest over the remains Wednesday. J.H. Howell, a son, is said to live in Clatsop, Oregon.
