    3. History Mystery Photo [Text Only] Lots of guessers on the mill photo. According to the inscription on the photo, this was “the Martin Wing sawmill and high flume that carried water for the overshot wheel powering the saw. Mill was located about five miles up Three Mile Creek west of Wamic village and was in operation several years in the mid-1880s. The Wings had 14 children, all of whom grew to adulthood. Wing was one of Wamic’s earliest homesteaders, probably in the 1860s.
