Kindrick Accepts Peace Corps Post in Panama The Dalles resident Erica Kindrick has accepted a two-year assignment with Peace Corps to serve as an agribusiness volunteer in Panama. She is the daughter Of Jerry and Susan Kindrick of The Dalles. In her assignment, Kindrick will be working with host country nationals to Promote more efficient business practices and improve marketing strategies for Local entrepreneurs. She left the United States for training on March 1 [2004]. A 1996 alumna of The Dalles High School, Kindrick attended the University of Oregon in Eugene [Oregon] and earned a degree in international studies, Graduating with honors in 2002. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and has worked for the Oregon Territory Federal Credit Union, Orchard View Farms [The Dalles] and the Social Security Administration. Since 1961, more than 170,000 Americans have joined the Peace Corps, serving In 136 nations around the world. Currently, more than 7,500 Peace Corps Volunteers are working in 70 countries around the world to bring clean water to Communities, teach children, protect the environment, help start new Businesses, prevent the spread of AIDS and much more.
