In The Service Army National Guard Specialist Gillian R. Nelson participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom at a forward-deployed operating location overseas. Nelson is an administrative specialist normally assigned to the 641st Medical Battalion (Evac), Salem. She is the daughter of Beck Nelson, The Dalles. The specialist graduated in 1998 from The Dalles High School, and received A bachelors degree in 2001, from Eastern Washington University, Cheney.
