    1. 1939 Steelhead - Leading Lights
    2. Chris Havnar
    3. Leading Lights of the Classes SENIORS MAXINE HOLCOLMB - For such a small person Mac certainly has the ability to do things. She started out her freshman year with a bang by being president of her class. Along with editing the Steelhead, guiding the destinies of Booster, and being a member of the Board of Control for three years, Mac finds time to be the most popular girl in school. BOB WILL - This is the second time Bob has been selected as outstanding student in his class. Through his excellent speaking ability as well as his executive ability, Bob became president of his class and also of the A.S. B. He has the energy to be captain of the basketball team and brains to have the highest grade average in the senior class. We predict a brilliant future for Bob. ANCIL PAYNE - Ancil's ability as an excellent speaker combined with his capacity for work have kept him well up in school life. President of his class, president of the A.S.B., Torch member, debater, and bandsman - Ancil's accomplishments are something to look back on with pride. RUTH CRAMER - Ruth has also twice been mentioned as an outstanding student and she well deserves this honor. She has been affiliated with girls' clubs during all of her four years in high school, has been active in sports, and this year is the very efficient Drum Majorette of the Booster Drum Corps. Ruth's sunny disposition has bad much to do with her success in school. JUNIORS FRANCES SMITH - Frances' popularity with her classmates and their confidence in her ability are well shown by their having elected her class president once and treasurer twice. She is a bugler in the Booster Drum Corps and had an important in the junior play. JIM KINERSLEY - Jim is another one whose diversified talents have made him invaluable in nearly all types of activities. As electricians assistant he helped with all plays and performances on the stage. He participated in track and intramural sports, was president of his class, and an honor student. SOPHOMORES HELEN SPICKERMAN - Helen's first year in Senior High has give her a good start. Her classmates elected her secretary, and her scholastic standing is beyond reproach. Helen has all the pep and energy that go to make a willing worker and good student. We think she will go places the next two years. LAWRENCE BEAUDOIN - Buster is well on his way to becoming another Napoleon, being small but dynamic. President of his class, member of Torch, and an ardent baseball player, young Mr. Beaudoin is a great favorite among his classmates.
