Christine, Thank you for your generosity. I had/have a few folks there. Wm P Stone, a Civil War vet, died at Dufur, 1938 in his nineties. some of his descendants are Hancocks and Creels , maybe they would have had kid or kids at the high school, but I suspect there must have been a closer one to the Dufur area even for those years.
