I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Mrs. C. B. SMILEY of Hillsdale, Montana. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Mrs. SMILEY likely in her 30's at the time the photograph was taken. SMILEY, age 37, born Aug 1862, a widower, born ME, parents born ME, a Sheep Man (guessing that the woman in the photograph was Charles' first wife who died sometime prior to the 1900 census) 1910 census of Valley County, MT: Charles SMILEY, age 40, 2nd marriage 9 years, born ME, parents born USA, a Laborer Katie E. SMILEY, wife, age 35, 2st married 9 years, 1 child/1 living, born IA, parents born WI/IL Leslie B. SMILEY, son, age 8, born MT 1920 census of Valley County, MT: Charles B. SMILEY, age 55, born ME, parents born ME Katie E. SMILEY, wife, age 44, born IA, parents born WI Lesley B. SMILEY, son, age 18, born MT I'm hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family.
