His place of birth is listed on census form as Kentucky (this is incorrect). His father Edward was born in Wales; his mother Mary Knickerbocker was born in NY. Fred had brothers Stewart, Hartwell, Bert, Edward, Gilbert, Roy, and sister Grace. There is a family story that one of the Johns boys died in a "shoot out". Have hunch might be Fred? Thank you
